Fishing here in Naples has been getting very good after what was another very tough season of cold weather. Snook, Redfish, Trout and Tarpon have all been showing up. The water temps and clarity have been improving daily making for some fun sight fishing action. Bait has been very good on the beaches and near shore structures. Here is a beautiful 27 inch redfish caught by the Ohio boys on Monday's half day trip along with numerous snook, trout and jacks. On another note look for some great charity fishing tournaments coming up in the next few months. The Big Kahuna Fishing Tournament for the Cancer Alliance of Naples is May 30th out of the Island Gyspsy. On Saturday June 13th is the Inshore Wars with proceeds going to The St. John Neumann Wrestling will be out of Pelican Bend. The weather is looking good for the next few days so get out and do some fishing. Capt. Joey Benko www.naplesfishingguide.com
