January has started out with cold fronts and some cold water fishing. This time of year it's been a trout, sheepshead and snapper game. The morning low tides have help target these fish in deep troughs and channels in the backcountry. I've been using lots of jigs with gulps, gotcha twisters and bucktails tipped with shrimp. For the live bait fisherman grabbing some shrimp and placing under a popping cork is a great method as well. Here is Tom with a beautiful trout that was released to catch another day. The forecast is looking alittle better to get out on the water next with with a front coming through early in the week. Capt. Joey Benko Bustnloose Backwater Charters
