With the arrival of the first cold fronts of the year look for fall fishing to start changing soon. Water temps are remaining in the lower 80's and bait is still very abundant. Snook fishing has remained very good with season open catching the slot fish has gotten tougher with the big fish running for cover.
Redfish can be targeted at the high stages of the tide and trout can be found along the points close to the passes. Pompano can be caught in the passes from Doctors to Caxambass Pass. Be prepared for the water temps to start showing signs of cooling and be ready to start using jigs tipped with shrimp. The above photos are of Carol Downing with a beautiful 27 inch trout and also some very nice upper slot redfish. Capt. Joey Benko Naples & Marco Island Fishing Charters Book a Trip: (239) 450-7382

The Halifax River is a very special place for inshore and backcountry fishing. The river contains brackish water, naturally saltier towards the ocean and fresher near it's tributaries, Thank you for making this such an awesome post!
